The N.S.S. Unit has been an integral part of our college since its inception, playing a key role in fostering the overall personality development of students. Through various community service activities, the N.S.S. program not only helps students develop leadership skills and a sense of responsibility but also makes them more aware of the social issues and development needs of society.
Students who enroll in the N.S.S. Unit are entitled to receive 10 Grace Marks as part of the program’s benefits. Furthermore, those who complete two years of service as an N.S.S. volunteer are awarded an official N.S.S. Certificate, recognizing their contribution and commitment to social service. This initiative not only enhances their academic experience but also contributes to their personal growth and societal awareness
The Gymkhana/Sports Department has been instrumental in promoting the all-round development of students through various sports activities conducted throughout the year. Despite the rigorous academic curriculum, our students actively participated in numerous sports events during this academic year. Once again, this year has proven to be highly successful for our students, who have garnered significant achievements across multiple sports disciplines.
Our students competed in both individual and team events at various levels, including intercollegiate, district, zonal, inter-zonal, university, state, national, and even international competitions. Their dedication and hard work have led to remarkable outcomes, with students winning medals in a variety of sports such as wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, football, kabaddi, ball badminton, handball, volleyball, and kho-kho. These accomplishments include bronze, silver, and gold medals at different competitive levels, showcasing the exceptional talent and commitment of our students to excellence in sports.

To provide an ambience in which sports talent can be identified, nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena.
Sports and games are playing an important role in our day today life. The government launched the Khelo India scheme. Under this program, many sporting events are conducted across the nation. It encourages mass participation of students in the games. The primary purpose of the scheme is to identify talented people and train them adequately. We also require the sportspeople to have other sources of income as they retire.
There are many advantages and impacts, it is high time that we realize the importance of sports and games.
The Women Development Cell (WDC) was established at the University of Mumbai in 2001 by the then Vice Chancellor, marking a significant milestone in the university's commitment to women's empowerment. The primary goal is to cultivate a gender-sensitive campus environment. In line with this objective, the University established the UWDC to address gender discrimination concerns and propose policies for gender parity. Following the Sexual Harassment Act of 2013 and UGC Guidelines of 2015, the University formed the Campus Internal Committee to handle sexual harassment complaints. Additionally, all affiliated colleges/institutions were directed to establish College Internal Committees. As per the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, the University is developing a comprehensive ordinance to address gender discrimination and sexual harassment. The UWDC aims to prevent sexual harassment in workplaces (colleges and university campuses) and enhance the overall well-being of female students, teaching, and non-teaching women staff. The cell is tasked with organizing awareness programs on gender sensitization, women's rights, and empowerment across university campuses and colleges.

Intellectual property is vital for giving any institution a competitive advantage. Tangible assets like inventions, designs, software, brand names, and innovative ideas hold more value than physical assets. The IPR Cell aims to support, protect, manage, and commercialize intellectual property, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks, created within the college. It fosters an environment conducive to intellectual property development in academics. These rights enable creators to benefit from their work or investment. In the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension at your college (DLLE), students set up food stalls under the Annapurna scheme, offering items like Bhel, Pani Puri, Chana Chatpata, Lemonade, and Cucumber. This experience provided them with practical professional knowledge, enhanced their planning and communication skills, and received support from both students and professors who purchased food items from them.

. Jeevandeep College has been operational since its inception in 2008. The college recognizes the importance of providing students with opportunities to express their artistic talents. To achieve this, the Department of Culture was established with the aim of offering students business opportunities and platforms in their areas of interest. Many students come from rural areas, which have a rich cultural heritage. The region is known for its long-standing tradition of the Warkari Sampradaya, which has a significant influence on the local culture.
The students of Jeevandeep College excel in the University of Mumbai's youth festivals each year, where the college has earned a strong reputation, particularly in competitions related to Indian group songs, classical singing, folk dance, solo acting, percussion instruments, and mehndi art. The college students have garnered notable achievements in these areas.
In 2018, Shreekant Pandit was selected for the final round of the University of Mumbai’s competition, marking a significant milestone for the college. Every year, on the occasion of Snehasammelan, the Department of Culture organizes various competitions, offering students a chance to showcase their talents. They are also provided with guidance if they wish to pursue careers in these fields.
The Department of Cultural Affairs is dedicated to fostering the all-round development of students and exposing their hidden talents. The department provides them with opportunities to perform on stage and, through its initiatives, promotes awareness of social and national ethics. By doing so, the college’s goals are realized.
In summary, the Department's mission is focused on the all-round development of students, and it continues to make progress with this goal in mind.
